Henry Harris Jessup (1832-1910), a Presbyterian minister and missionary, is best known for his autobiographical Fifty-Three Years in Syria. He was pastor and schoolteacher at the Syrian Church of Beirut, edited El-Neshrah, and was first secretary of the Asfuriyeh Hosipital for the Insane.
